JMI’s Founding Director
Steve Davis, JMI’s Founding Director, and his wife Vicki are moving this month from Nashville back to Texas to be closer to family. As they make this move, Steve begins a more part-time role with JMI and will also continue to lead mission trips to Moldova. His heart for missions and years of work in Moldova were the catalyst that helped Justice & Mercy International begin 11 years ago. Steve will always be JMI’s founding director and we hope he will be involved with the the work of this ministry for many more years.
This week we are excited to introduce you to our newest staff member, Chris Hardy. Chris is joining the JMI team as Director of Programs & Church Partnerships.
Chris has been married to Traci for 25 years, and they have two children: Kara-Anne (20) and Will (16). Chris studied at Berry College (B.A. in Psychology), Church of God Theological Seminary (M.A. in Counseling) and United Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry). He has worked in multiple roles within the local church for the past 29 years.Since March 2000, he has served on the pastoral staff at Westover Church in Greensboro, NC. In his tenure at Westover, he provided oversight for equipping, life development, leadership development and most recently served as Staff Pastor.
His heart for missions began after college and since that time he has led multiple teams serving the vulnerable, poor and least reached people around the world. God has now called Chris to join Justice and Mercy International, combining his love for the local church and his passion for missions.
He joins the JMI staff as Director of Programs and Church Partnerships. In this role, Chris will primarily oversee existing programs in Moldova and Brazil, and focus on the development of JMI Church Partners around the world. Chris has already joined three JMI mission teams (2 Amazon Pastors Conferences and Moldova) and his family proudly supports JMI, and sponsors a child in Moldova and a pastor in the Amazon.
