Why This Crisis is So Severe
Russia’s Gazprom has halted gas supplies, cutting off the country’s primary energy source. Transnistria, a key electricity supplier, is also in crisis, further straining Moldova’s fragile energy infrastructure. With energy costs soaring, many families can no longer afford basic necessities like coal. Staying warm has become a daily struggle.
