It Matters To This One is JMI’s initiative to raise money for camp this summer in Moldova. As many of you know, Moldova is the poorest country in the former Soviet Union, and Moldova’s orphans are at high risk for human trafficking and suicide. JMI has stepped in to make a difference in the lives of these orphans in several ways—sponsorships, transitional living homes, and summer camps.
During the weeks of June 30-July 14, we are sending 3 teams to impact over 150 orphans. At camp, kids will hear about Jesus, learn life skills such as healthy relationships, conflict resolution, money management, and human trafficking prevention, and will have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with members of our team that will continue for years to come through our sponsorship program.
We need your help to make camp happen this summer.
1. Go to www.justiceandmercy.org/camp to donate! Your donation will help with the cost of lodging, food, translators, supplies, and staff to make camp happen. Please share this need with your Facebook and Twitter friends by clicking the “Sharing is Caring” link at the bottom of the page.
2. Stop by the JMI booth and pick a sunflower. Sunflowers will have an amount of money and a description of what that pays for (i.e. translators, craft or rec supplies, Bibles to pass out, food for kids, hygiene supplies for kids, etc.). You can either keep the sunflower as your commitment to make a donation of that amount by Sunday, June 24, or you can write a check immediately and give it to one of our volunteers at the booth.
