by Kelly Minter Kelly Minter is an acclaimed author, speaker, Bible teacher, and JMI Board member. To say that I went to Moldova kicking and screaming would be strong, but to say I went a bit tired and with my arms folded—and a little concerned about the unrest in that …
What God can do with Technology and Dodgeball
When Jeff Pittman went on his first mission trip to Moldova in 2012, he had no idea that the orphans there would radically change his life, nor that he would find himself in the position of changing many of theirs! Very shortly after he returned from Moldova, Jeff did what …
Do You Believe in Destiny?
Do you believe in destiny? Do you believe, for instance, that certain people are pre-destined to be saved? What about that person you’re married to?…destiny or random choice? Or how about the disease or tragedy someone in your life is presently battling? Is there a purpose to it or do …
Is It Worth It to Make Justice Personal? You Decide.
Are you angry or depressed by all the news of a world enflamed against the United States? Perhaps it would do your heart good to listen to the hearts of our orphan friends living in our transitional homes in Moldova. Here is a sampling of responses I received to a …

Shopping With A Purpose
Amanda Sanfilippo is someone we endearingly refer to as “a Moldova-head” in much the same way that “Parrot-heads” are Jimmy Buffett fans. She has worked with our orphan friends on many occasions there and has mastered many of the songs in Romanian with which the rest of us continue to …
The Mission Moment
One of the real blessings of our ministry is watching how God moves in the lives of people once they’ve been exposed to the plight of children around the world. Jason Cruise went to Moldova for the first time this summer and returned with his heart broken for the orphaned …
It all started with a dare…
I have been involved with JMI since the first of my five trips to Moldova in 2006. The first trip started off on a dare with another man in my church, that if he went, I would go along on a construction team. That trip has changed both of our lives with my friend eventually taking into his home an orphan from Moldova.
