So when it came to the JMI Benefit Gala on September 30th, we knew we had a huge goal to reach, a goal that in the midst of a global pandemic was almost impossible to ask for. But it was a goal we felt the Lord had given us, a God-sized goal of $250,000, and we entered the night trusting that whatever we received would be enough, because our Lord is always in control.
We gathered together under the night sky, as people set up their lawn chairs and tables, they enjoyed delicious food from Pie Town Tacos, and listened to great live music from the The Decades, along with Trivia fun with friends and family. As we entered into the main program of the night it was wonderful to see so many dear partners joining us in-person and online, all ready to make justice personal on this special night.
Kelly Minter hosted the event, and we heard from our US, Moldova and Amazon staff, as they all shared testimonies and stories of the challenges and hardships faced in 2020, but of the incredible faithfulness of God throughout it all. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of so many of you, thank you for being a part of this ministry. We love being on this journey together, and simply could not do this without you.
