Sponsorships
Currently, JMI has exciting sponsorship opportunities in the following countries:
Moldova
Orphan Sponsorships ($35 per month)
Your monthly gift will allow JMI to do the following for the child you sponsor:
- purchase seasonal clothes and shoes (including hats, gloves, underwear, socks, etc.) twice each year;
- provide hygiene supplies (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, gender-specific items) four times per year;
- purchase school supplies at least once every year;
- provide access to a case worker and translator for communication with their sponsor year-round;
- provide coverage of miscellaneous expenses (medical, dental, etc.) on an as-needed basis.
Graduate Sponsorships ($85 per month)
Through this program you can support a needy young person who has been discharged from an orphanage and needs help to survive on her own. Your monthly gift will be used for higher education, renting a room from a family, food, healthcare and other needs.
Moldova Transitional Living Sponsorships ($170/month)

Grace House
The government institutional care of orphaned and abandoned children lasts until they reach the age of 16, or the U.S. equivalent of the freshman year of high school. They are then on their own with no family, no home, and no support. JMI’s transitional living program is an effort to meet the needs of these vulnerable young people. JMI rents a facility, called Grace House, in Moldova’s capital city of Chisinau for this purpose. At Grace House, girls have the opportunity to continue their education, meet with a social worker to address their needs, receive the love and support of the JMI staff, plus participate in English lessons, life skills classes, computer classes, and Bible studies. This sponsorship is a 2 year commitment, which allows girls in the Grace House time to complete their next level of schooling, as well as develop necessary skills to live successful lives as independent women. If $170 is not feasible for you, feel free to join up with a friend or family member and each pay $85 per month.
Boys2Leaders
Boys2Leaders is JMI’s newest program in the Republic of Moldova and is the male counterpart to our Grace House transitional living program for girls.As with Grace House, we have high expectations for our guys aged 16-20. These young men have grown up in orphanages without any encouragement from parents. But what they have missed from their biological families, has been returned to them through committed sponsors, years of positive exposure to our volunteer groups and a vibrant, growing faith in God.Our Boys2Leaders are provided an apartment, money for food and training in English, computer skills and life skills and case management. While in the program, they have the opportunity to pursue higher levels of education and/or work. They are encouraged to find ways to volunteer any of their talents back to their churches or communities. In 2010, they were instrumental in helping us lead out in our summer camps by giving their testimonies, facilitating activities and generally inspiring the younger orphans to believe that miracles are, indeed, possible. Our goal is to enlist one sponsor and one vocational mentor for each of our young men. Sponsors and mentors can communicate with the guys via email and contribute $170 per month toward their living and school expenses. These are truly amazing young men. They inspire all of us who know them and are proof positive that consistent love and belief can overcome any adversity!

South Africa
Life Skills Educators for Red Hill
For a child growing up in the mountaintop squatter’s village of Red Hill, the world below is a murky maze of impossible dreams. From their makeshift homes and a community that is 50% HIV infected, the opportunities of the rich, healthy and educated seem completely beyond their reach.
Through a coalition of donors willing to donate $50 a month, JMI can fund a Life Skills Educator and other resources to make those dreams more concrete and attainable. That education begins with a commitment to remain abstinent and healthy so that they can overcome the odds against them. It also includes tutoring, encouragement to excel in school, the provision of mandatory school uniforms, training in life skills and problem solving, nourishment that might not be available at home, and consistent spiritual guidance, the very foundation for hope.
JMI has a critical need for donors in this area. Would you consider making a monthly commitment or single gift today!
Masi-Hope Child Sponsorships
Over the last year the Sun Valley Primary School, not more than five minutes from the Educare, has been working with Living Way to provide a life-changing opportunity to select children who come from the Noordhoek center and who also live in Masiphumelele to attend Sun Valley, widely recognized as the best school in the Cape if not the entire country (and quite different than the education they’d receive in a Masi school). Parents of these children, no more than 16 each year, have agreed to pay roughly 30% of their child’s expenses to attend Sun Valley, but for many, even that is more than they can manage over the long-term. The dream is that the rest of the funding would come from individual sponsors who care about these kids and families and want to help make such a profound difference in their education and outlook on life.
Brazil

Ana-Rita’s Hope (Brazil)
Sponsorships to support the sequence of projects along the Amazon are $40/month. Sponsorship gifts will be applied sequentially to the prioritized list until all projects are completed. The website will reflect these successes as they are checked off the list.
By mid-June, sponsors will be able to select Brazilian families from our website. These families are representative of their entire communities and sponsors are encouraged to pray specifically for the family they choose. Written letters to your families may be submitted to JMI volunteer teams for translation and delivery.
Sponsors are encouraged to set up an automatic draft so that there is no delinquency in payments, but checks are also gladly accepted. Please follow the instructions that are available on the site to set up your automatic drafts.
If you’d like to join in this cause, please make a monthly commitment (using the form below) or single gift today!
Students with a Cause ($10 per month)
Don’t have a lot of money every month but still want to be apart of this ministry? Become a student sponsor! You can give $10 each month towards any of our international sponsorship programs.For Moldova, your sponsorship would go towards transitional living facilities. In Moldova, the government institutional care of orphaned and abandoned children lasts until they reach the age of 16, or the U.S. equivalent of the freshman year of high school. They are then on their own with no family, no home, and no support. JMI’s transitional living program is an effort to meet the needs of these vulnerable young people. JMI provides a home in Moldova’s capital city of Chisinau for this purpose. At Grace House and the Boys 2 Leader program boys and girls have the opportunity to continue their education, meet with a social worker to address their needs, receive the love and support of the JMI staff, plus participate in English lessons, life skills classes, computer classes, and Bible studies.Your donation of $10 a month will go directly to students and will provide necessary needs for them to have a happy and healthy life!
At JMI we take stewardship seriously. That’s why we commit to using as a large a percentage as possible of our expenditures toward the children we serve.

*Exclusively for F.A.I.T.H. Riders, JMI is implementing a pay it forward strategy as a part of the Full Ride and Rally Ride plans. Those chapters that select one of these plans may select a 7th or 8th grade student who is not be eligible to leave his or her orphanage until graduating in the 9th grade, or we may not have current space availability for them in one of our homes. If that is the case, a portion of your financial gifts will accumulate on their behalf until they enter our safe house and will be used to fund their high school, trade school, or university expenses. The remainder will be used for quarterly gifts of clothes, hygiene and school supplies, improvements to the orphanage or JMI’s transitional program and any health or dental care needs that might arise.
Please be aware that all financial contributions toward a sponsorship of any kind through JMI are received into our general fund and are not considered as designated giving. JMI has elected to treat all contributions as undesignated gifts to minimize our administration costs for legal and accounting burdens that accompany designated gifts, thereby ensuring that the kids receive the greatest possible value from the donated funds. Treating your gift as undesignated also provides JMI with flexibility in managing donated funds in a way that serves the best interests of our kids and programs, and to meet the most critical needs, some of which include desperately needed improvements to orphanage facilities and services. It also helps prevent any misunderstanding among the kids, staff and sponsors, with respect to authority and accountability issues that might otherwise arise. While sponsorship benefits vary according to the individual needs of sponsored children, local resources and other considerations, the benefits described with each type of sponsorship express our best intentions to apply your giving in the most faithful means possible.
