On December 27-January 3, JMI will celebrate the greatest story ever told with orphaned and destitute children in Moldova on its 6th annual CHRISTMAS IN MOLDOVA mission trip!
This year’s trip will start in the capital city of Chisinau with stops at the Balti orphanage; the Balti Shelter; the Falesti Shelter; the orphanage in Tsaregrad; the village of Carpineni and another nearby village that has never had an evangelical experience like this; the village of Grablesti and as many other locations as we can strategically visit. Â If we have enough volunteers sign up we may even split our team in order to maximize the quality of our time with the children.Â
For some of these kids, this will be their first experience celebrating Christmas with us, and possibly the first real gift they will ever receive.  Our activities will include telling the story of Jesus’ birth, doing a craft, playing games and having Father Christmas drop by to distribute a personal gift for each child along with a stocking filled with fruit and goodies.  We will also interview new children for sponsorship and show them a movie, complete with popcorn and sodas.
I don’t know of any better way to enter the pure joy and meaning of Christmas than to celebrate the season with the beautiful and humble children of Moldova.  A trip cost of $2500 is guaranteed for the first 15 people who sign up by responding to mailto:[email protected] before September 15th with a $500 nonrefundable deposit.*
* Trip price is calculated leaving from Nashville, TN. Â Volunteers from other localities may be assessed slightly higher costs if airfare exceeds the Nashville flight expense.
