Don’t you love it when God allows you to experience something that truly marks your heart in a way you couldn’t have dreamed? As you think about those things, it’s likely that whatever it is, you now can’t imagine your life without it.

Brazil is that experience for me! I didn’t expect it to become such a profound part of my story, but I can’t get over it. I remain in awe of God and how He is at work, especially in the Amazon region of Brazil.

A decade after my first trip to the Amazon, God is now calling me to go, live, and serve in that region of the world alongside Justice & Mercy International! While many things feel unknown, my certainty of this call is found in Jesus, and I am excited to see His plans unfold!

As you may know, the Amazon is not just a breathtaking part of God’s creation; it’s also home to some of the most precious people on earth. Many of these people live in communities in remote areas, often without access to necessities, education, or healthcare. But their greatest need, above all, is to know the love, salvation, and hope that only Jesus Christ can provide. God has called me to be a part of His work in this region, to share the good news of the Gospel, and to meet the needs of those who are struggling.

I will be working alongside the Justice & Mercy Amazon team in Brazil, and together we will:

• Provide food, clothing, and medical resources to those who most need it
• Train pastors to lead their communities to Jesus
• Support children in jungle villages to learn, grow, and discover all that God has for them
• Equip children’s leaders to minister to kids
• Partner with local Brazilian organizations to further God’s Kingdom in the Amazon
• Run mission trips on our hammock boat, The Splendor, with teams from the US and Brazilian churches
• Share God’s hope with everyone we encounter
