Some exciting times are ahead here in Guatemala. I love being a part of what God is doing! It is wonderful to see when God is moves in a big way. Over the last 2 years, Nathan and his wife Claudia have been the only two working for Engadi. Since I have come here in October, we have now added three more staff members to the team. Now were are up to five staff members (with the possibility of adding a sixth), and two interns. Because of this inward growth of the organization, I truly believe that Engadi is really fixing to take off.
We had two guys from San Antonio come down in early June, and with their business, they are wanting to partner with us for many years to come. We were encouraged by their presence. After they left, we had a team from Watkinsville FBC come down from Georgia. They worked really hard, and we were able to see so much progress.
They accomplished many things the week they were here. With their help, we filled in a retaining wall with dirt, filled in our prayer garden, and painted the soccer stadium in Zone 18. They worked hard all day long. Their team was made up of mostly high school, college, and young adults. By coming together and working long, hard days, they truly made an lasting impact in their time here.
Now, we are gearing up for July! We’ll have two teams this upcoming month; one team comes July 7th, and the other team comes towards the end of the month. We are also getting another intern, Kory, who will be here for two months. He flies in on July 6th.
Keep us in your prayers over the next several weeks as we continue to seek wisdom from the Lord with these teams. Pray that we will continue to lean on him in all of our decisions and the way that we use our time. Pray for the boys as well. Pray that Christ will continue to reveal himself to them each and everyday!
We are excited to see what the Lord will continue to do!
