South Africa February/March 2016
Trip Dates: February 23- March 4, 2016
Who do we work with?
Living Hope: www.livinghope.co.za
-Seeks to reach people for Christ, bringing hope and breaking the despair of poverty and disease.
-Scope of work includes: Life Skills Education, Health Care Clinic, Community Support Groups, Homelessness & Addiction, Economic Development, HIV/Aids Education & Prevention
What will our schedule look like?
Each day consists of breakfast & devotional time at the Team House, where we stay. While in Red Hill, the teams will serve in a variety of capacities ranging from after-school kids and teens club, to assisting with on-going needs in the community with support groups, construction and training. Depending on the skills of the team, additional opportunities exist to serve with Living Hope.
There will also be opportunities to debrief with the team about experiences and ample opportunities to take in the sights of Cape Town (i.e. the beach, Table Mountain, Shopping, etc.)
Prep for Trip
The team will have several meetings that will include prayer, country/culture overview information, travel prep, team building opportunities, in-country activity planning and our own mental/spiritual preparation for a trip like this. Attendance at the meetings is strongly encouraged for the greatest benefit of the team member and the team. There will be a debrief meeting when we return to the states.
