Advocate

ad·vo·cate

brazil-6 Pronunciation: \ˈad-və-kət, -ˌkāt\
Function: noun Date: 14th century
1: one that pleads the cause of another; specifically : one that pleads the cause of another before a tribunal or judicial court
2: one that defends or maintains a cause or proposal
3: one that supports or promotes the interests of another

If we, at JMI, could use these to create our own definition of “advocate,” it would be this:

4: one who, at great personal sacrifice, pleads for, defends, supports and takes responsibility for a disadvantaged person who could never repay their compassion!

This is what JMI is about and these are the kind of people we invite into our family of advocates. Whether purchasing coats for orphans during the frigid winters of Moldova, providing a life skills educator for a host of vulnerable children in an obscure South African village, sponsoring the poorest of the poor in Brazil, or traveling to any of these countries and others to make a difference, we are as strong and effective as our advocates.

It is our mission to provide you with the most personally interactive relationship possible with a needy and deserving child or cause that touches your heart. If you’re interested in how you can lock arms with us on their behalf, you’re invited to explore all the ways we can make a difference together and start your advocate’s journey today!

We are JMI.
