Steve received a Bachelor’s degree from Dallas Baptist College, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a M.A. from St. Mary’s in Counseling. My passion for disadvantaged children began in 1989 working with abused kids on a children’s home campus in San Antonio. That position morphed into an international ministry that took me to Russia, Romania and Moldova. Serving now with JMI allows me to continue eight previous years of service in Moldova, and add the blessings of service in South Africa, Ecuador and Brazil.

I am from Nashville, TN originally and graduated with a degree in Spanish and World Business and with a minor in Child and Family Studies from the University of Tennessee. For two months during a summer in college, I was blessed to be apart of a mission team to various cities in Mexico that truly left a mark on my life to serve Christ through helping the disadvantaged in food kitchens, on the streets, and in orphanages. After graduation. I worked for a year as a social worker and learned so much about the love of Christ by coming alongside children and families in their time of need. I have a true heart for serving in the name of Christ and am excited to be a part of JMI.
